CPCU FIRE SAFETY SCHOOL 2001
The West Des Moines Fire Department has scheduled Fire Safety Schools May 14th – May 24th, 2001. The Fire Safety House is a small version of a home and provides a realistic setting for fire safety education.
The Iowa CPCU Chapter plans to assist the West Des Moines Fire Department while they are visiting the elementary schools. As CPCU volunteers we help with tasks assigned by the Fire Department--helping children climb down the ladder, prompting children to dial 911, etc.
It is a rewarding experience and we encourage all CPCUs, spouses and other insurance professionals to assist at one of the elementary schools. The school children benefit from this experience and the CPCU volunteers and firefighters also benefit by sharing information for the common goal of fire safety in our communities.
Volunteers are needed for the following schools. Please allow approximately 2 hours to help with the school. Please contact Barbara Moore at 226-6803 (or e-mail bmoore@fbfs.com) to register for a school or to obtain additional information.
