Willard L. Boyd III is an attorney and shareholder in the business, banking and corporate department of the Des Moines law firm, Nyemaster, Goode, Voigts, West, Hansell & O’Brien, P.C. Mr. Boyd received his B.A. degree, with high honors, from the University of Michigan, and his J.D. degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is a member of the Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and District of Columbia bars. Mr. Boyd worked as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa from 1984 to 1986. He practiced law in Washington, D.C. prior to joining the Nyemaster law firm. Mr. Boyd has published numerous articles and writings on a wide variety of legal topics. He also is a contributor to the Iowa Legal Research Guide. Mr. Boyd is a member of the American Bar Association in the Business Law, Antitrust Law, Health Law, and Public Contract Law Sections. Mr. Boyd has served in various capacities for the Iowa State Bar Association, as member and chair of the Trade Regulation Section Council, member of the Health Law Section Council, and current member of the Business Law Section Council. Mr. Boyd is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.

Mr. Angelina is a consulting actuary with Tillinghast – Towers Perrin in its Philadelphia office and a principal of Towers Perrin. He is an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Mr. Angelina is a graduate of Drexel University with a B.S. degree in Mathematics. Mr. Angelina is co-author of Tillinghast’s study regarding the asbestos "universe" and currently coordinates research and development activities relating to the contingent liabilities of corporate asbestos defendants assisting clients with asbestos-related operational strategies. He has quantified reserve needs for asbestos, pollution, and other health hazards (APH) for both domestic and international insurers and reinsurers. He is a developer of RPIL, Tillinghast’s excess of loss pricing system, and part of the Global Loss Distributions (GLD) initiative. Previously, Mr. Angelina was Vice President and Actuary with Reliance Reinsurance Corp. (RRC), serving as the Actuarial Officer of the Finite Risk unit. Earlier in his career, Mr. Angelina worked for CIGNA in the workers compensation and the actuarial research units. Mr. Angelina has written various articles on asbestos issues and risk financing costs for Captive Insurance Company Reports and other trade journals. He is a frequent speaker at the Casualty Actuarial Society seminars on asbestos issues and pricing/reserving for US and international exposures, and he has participated in numerous industry forums regarding asbestos liabilities. Recently, Mr. Angelina has been directly involved in the congressional hearings on the Asbestos Fairness Act. |
Hugh B. McGowan is President and CEO of McGowan Insurance Group, Inc., an Independent Insurance Agency founded in 1930.
Hugh is a past President and Agent of the Year recipient of the Independent Insurance Agents of Central Indiana. He also served as President of the Independent Agents’ state association in 1998 during the 100th Year Celebration. Hugh is a recent recipient of the State association’s Agent of the Year Award and has received their Public Image Award twice. He was also honored with the Central Indiana Chapter CPCU Achievement Award. Hugh has served
the Indiana CPCU Chapter in numerous positions including President. He has been on a number of
CPCU national committees and also been a National Director and Regional Vice President. Hugh is currently the National President of the Society. Mr. McGowan A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. McGowan is a past President of the Indianapolis Alumni Association and was presented their "Award of the Year." Hugh was also recognized by Governor O’Bannon with the prestigious "Sagamore of the Wabash" designation. He is past President of the Serra Club of Indianapolis, a member of both the Indiana and Indianapolis Chambers of Commerce, and an Associate Member of the 500 Festival. Hugh currently serves on the Board of Cathedral High School and is past President of the Catholic Youth Organization where he was a recipient of their St. John Bosco Youth Award. Mr. McGowan considers his greatest accomplishment coaching his sons in basketball for more than 10 years. |

Is the abbreviation for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, a professional designation awarded by the American Institute for Property and Casualty Underwriters, Inc., evidencing the fulfillment of
a prescribed period of satisfactory insurance experience; the successful completion of a series of comprehensive examinations in insurance, economics, law, finance and accounting; and the acceptance of a strict code of ethical conduct.
Insurance Industry Day
Is proclaimed each year to recognize persons who have completed the requirements necessary to attain the CPCU designation, and as a forum
to discuss insurance topics of current interest. Participation and attendance is open to anyone.
