The Iowa Chapter of CPCU is hosting an I-Cubs Outing on August 1, 2007 to kick off the 2007-08 Year. This event is for all Iowa Chapter CPCU members, their friends, and families. Chapter Meeting Thursday, February 21, 2008. This will be a breakfast meeting and registration starts at 7:30 am at the Des Moines Golf & Country Club. Our speaker will be Marsha Egan. You may remember Marsha as she is a past president of the National CPCU Society. Her presentation will be "You're Sitting in My Seat!"

Plan to attend the CPCU Society Center for Leadership Course in West Des Moines to be held on Thursday afternoon February 21, 2008. The facilitator is Marsha Eagan, CPCU a past president of the National CPCU Society. Her topic is "Building Communication Strategies." ETHICS DAY – 2008 at the Olmsted Center on the Drake Campus. This event is sponsored by the Kelley Insurance Center – Drake University in cooperation with the Iowa Chapter, CPCU Society; Society of Financial Service Professionals; and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – Central Iowa. Chapter Meeting Thursday April 17, 2008 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. The meeting will be held at Hotel Fort Des Moines. The speakers for this meeting are Katie Roland, HR Specialist and Mekenze Bishop, Senior Recruiter. They both work for Nationwide Insurance. Their topic is Writing an Effective Resume and will be talking about how to write an effective resume in the ever changing world of on-line recruiting.

Note: this meeting will include the election of officers and directors for the 2008-2009 Chapter year.

Chapter Meeting, Thursday May 15, 2008. The meeting will be 11:30am - 1:00pm at the Blank Park Zoo. Our speaker will be Stan Reynolds from Reynolds & Reynolds. The title of his presentation is "Giving Back". Hear about the many ways you can give back to your community and how it can pay huge dividends in your life and career!
